BedStory 12-14 Inch Medium Firm Hybrid Mattress | Gel Memory Foam & Pocket Springs for Optimal Support

Looking for a mattress is daunting. I knew I wanted something on the firm side that wouldn’t put me in debt. I decided to give this one a shot. I’m very pleased with it. I was worried at first when it first started to fluff up that it wasn’t going to be firm enough but by the time bedtime came around it had definitely improved. It’s still under the first 24 hours but the first night of sleep was pretty good. I even fell asleep on my back and that is very hard for me, as I’m more of a stomach sleeper. It’s firm but soft to the touch. It does scrunch when you sit on the edge BUT it seems to be getting better as it’s still “fluffing” up. There was a huge difference from when I first unpacked it to about 10 hrs later when I went to sleep. Bonus, even my dog seemed to like it and he doesn’t like it when new things show up in his house lol. Cats also all slept by me on the first night. I was also surprised there was no horrible plastic smell, and what little smell there was, isn’t bad. I did run my air purifier though after unpacking, figured it couldn’t hurt. No smell when I went finally went to sleep. I’ve ordered an additional mattress topper and a protector for it, just because of my pets. My dog likes to nest and scratchers the bedding together so I’m hoping the topper will give added protection. My only two complaints are that it’s hard to tell the difference between the two layers of plastic so when opening it I nicked the inner layer and the mattress started to fluff up before I could get it all off.. it was comical but also could’ve been more problematic. Maybe tinting the inner layer would help customers see it better. The other thing I noticed is that the price dropped even more after the Labor Day sale so that kind of stinks that I thought I was getting a deal and then it dropped more. It’s definitely still affordable but a little let down by the timing. Either way would recommend if you want something with good support.

The price was decent. So far it's been comfortable. Seems good quality.

Decided to open the box as I did not get answer an returning fee was on me, probably expensive due the weight of the package. The instruction is misleading. The mattress was actually a King size, but folded in a very compressed fashion. I think a description os packaging and unpacking instruction would help. The unpacking video is misleading as well. The way the mattress is folded is not what is shown. as for quality of the product it looks good. We’ll see with use how it is.

Really glad I purchased this mattress. It was my first time buying a bed in a box. I was very apprehensive, but I’m glad I took the leap. The bed was packaged well—it survived a multi-state move. It was easy to open and inflated instantly. I gave it the full 72 hours before using. And, I’m happy to say that it’s softer than I could have imagined.

I am pleasantly surprised by how nice this mattress is for the money I spent! It came well packaged, easy to get into the bedroom and opened up easily as well. The edges may not be 14 inches as some other reviews note, but the center definitely is! Edge support is good, mattress is sturdy, but soft. Perfect for my guest room!
